The Flystuff Flypad is made of 1/8in (3mm) UHMW porous polyethylene fused to 3/4in (12mm) acrylic base. The precision routed maze maintains a flat, warp-free surface and also assures optimal, consistent diffusion of CO2 throughout the staging area. The Flystuff Flypad features a nickel-plated brass threaded hose barb input that fits 1/8in ID (3mm) tubing (substitute fitting for 1/4in (6mm) ID tubing available upon request).

The Flystuff Flypad Frame is a white acrylic frame with a precision routed recessed groove that fits precisely on top of the Flystuff Flypad. The fit allows for easy one-handed removal, and the recessed gravity fit keeps the frame securely in place when in use. The benefit of this frame is two fold: 1) CO2, being heavier than air, is more efficiently contained within the frame. This is especially beneficial when the Flystuff Foot Valve is used. 2) The frame adds protective walls to the Flypad surface to best contain flies and assure that they will not inadvertently be swept off the Flypad.

Population Cages
Our Drosophila population cages feature cylindrical extruded acrylic for a corner-free interior. The durable custom sewn cloth end caps (machine washable, drip dry) are form-fitted and held tight by adjustable hose clamps. One end cap features extended netting for easy, safe access. To close the fly cage, simply tie the netting in a knot. The cage sits securely on a durable plastic cradle. Complete unit (pictured) includes acrylic tube, fitted cloth end caps (one with netting for entry), hose clamps and tube cradle. Embryo Collection Cages
Made of durable acrylic, these convenient embryo collection cages feature an extended end cap (flexible LDPE) which accommodates a petri dish (35 mm, 60 mm, or 100 mm). This unique easy-to-use feature eliminates the need for tape, while maintaining cage integrity. Stainless steel mesh (97 µm) is fused to the top of the cage to allow ample breathability and eliminate condensation. Embryo collection cages must be cleaned with cold soapy water.
